  11.                Sam's Modified Menu Screens for RBBS developed from
  12.                wanting nicer screens for Ver. 17.2B of RBBS-PC.
  13.  
  14.                I tried a mixed combination of colors and graphics to
  15.                try to create screens that were easy to read and soft
  16.                on the eyes. I must have produced 100 or more mixed
  17.                combinations before finding a pleasant combination of
  18.                color and graphics.
  19.  
  20.                Once that task was complete, I had to find the proper 
  21.                screen positions to get them to appear on the screen
  22.                without running halfway off the monitor.

  24.                Being persistent as a mule, I finally achieved my goal.
  25.                Only a short time later, Ver. 17.3 was out and did have
  26.                some fairly nice looking screens, compared to the previous
  27.                versions. However, I found myself drawn back to those I
  28.                had developed for 17.2B. But, in 17.3 a smartext was added
  29.                that displayed the Current time: and Remaining time: and
  30.                on the Main Menu your Security Level was displayed as well.

  32.                I then added the smartext to them to give my screens these
  33.                same features. But, I wasn't really satisfied with just to
  34.                see the Remaining time displayed because after awhile, 
  35.                you get somewhat adjusted to seeing it there and you kind
  36.                of forget to look at it when using a color monitor. So, I
  37.                decided to Change its color to be displayed in Red to make
  38.                it more noticable. And you do become more aware of it now,
  39.                that it is a diferent color. But, I went back and made it 
  40.                flash in the color of Red.  I'm satisfied now and decided
  41.                to share these screens with those who may want them for use
  42.                on thier own boards.

  44.                There is no charge for these screens. Use them as you wish,
  45.                without obligation on your part or mine. However, if you
  46.                feel compelled to do so you may send me a couple of dollars
  47.                of which I will give to my wife April, who has on numerous  
  48.                occassions, threaten to divorce me for spending so much time
  49.                with my Bulletin Board and not with my six year old T.J. and
  50.                my three year old Amanda but, most of all for not spending
  51.                more time with thier mother, April. In any event, feel free
  52.                to use this menus without obligation. I have listed below a
  53.                couple of other files that I have developed that are available
  54.                for Downloading on my Board. Feel free to help yourself.
